Leukaemia Week “The Magic Machine”

As part of Leukaemia Week 2014 (21st-28th June), almost 300 patients who either have or have recovered from leukaemia, lymphomas, multiple myeloma or other malignant blood diseases joined the Josep Carreras Foundation Magic Machine campaign, together with their families, to raise awareness and ask for help in order to continue with research.

The #themagicmachine campaign aimed to raise at least €38,500 through SMS support messages to help purchase a latest generation cell separator and… WE ACHIEVED IT!

Thanks to Víctor, a 5-year-old leukaemia patient, actress Paula Echevarría and the collaboration of many supportive people, we raised more than €55,000 to equip the laboratories at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute.
